Dr. Alex von Bergen

Alexander von Bergen

Dr. Des. ETH Alex von Bergen is an external lecturer at ETH Zurich, sharing his expertise in research methods with doctoral students. He was a doctoral student in the group of Prof. Manu Kapur from 2019 until 2023. Prior to his doctorate, he studied social neuropsychology at the University of Bern.

Alex also holds a diploma in applied statistics, ETH Zurich, as well as a diploma as a semi-professional guitar player at the Swiss Jazz School. He is furthermore an active member of the pop-ska-punk band "Beat Moustache", regularly takes part in the jazz band "summer big band" and plays indoor volleyball in the men’s 3rd league.
