Philipp Kuhn

was the Lead Software Engineer in the Future Learning Initiative Project ‘Ethics Education’. He was part of the team of researchers and artists that created 'Write or Wrong', a game on the ethics of academic collaboration and publishing.

Over the course of two years, he co-designed the hour-long game experience from the ground up and lead its technical implementation. The game simulates the research, writing and publishing activities of the academic environment. It features interactions and collaborations between the player and their virtual peers. Through storytelling, the game creates ethical dilemmas pressures the player to act upon them.
The game experience is tied together by a rich, animated and interactive user interface that immerses the player in the virtual academic world.

Philipp got his engineering degree with focus on software development at the Bern University of Applied Sciences. After working as a full-stack software developer for a couple of years, he decided to further specialize his skills in the area of video game programming.
Completing his bachelor's degree in Game Design at the Zurich University of the Arts introduced him to the Swiss Game Design scene. Prior to joining ETH, Philipp was working on a not yet released game about traffic planning, urban development and environmental sustainability.
