Dr. sc. Esther Ziegler

worked as a senior researcher at the ETH Professorship for Learning Sciences and Higher Education from 2017 to 2020. From 2020 to 2023, she was a lecturer at ETH Zurich and was mentoring two doctoral students. Prior to joining Manu Kapur’s group, she was a doctoral student and postdoc at the ETH Professorship for Research on Learning and Instruction, in Elsbeth Stern’s group, where she earned her PhD in Cognitive and Educational Psychology.

In 2020, Esther Ziegler founded her own company, an ETH spin-off, in the field of learning and instruction.

Esther Ziegler studied Psychology at University of Zurich, with a specialization in Neuropsychology in the group of Lutz Jäncke. She also holds a Diploma/Master in Violin at the Musikhochschule Zurich and was formed as a primary school teacher at the Zurich University of Teacher Education.
